March 8th - Does Equal Mean Equal? On this International Women's Day let's celebrate women's progress in the world. We'll look at the history of the Equal Rights Amendment and why the time is now to push for 3 more states to ratify, sealing it's completion and addition to the U.S. Constitution. We will also consider opportunities for equality in NC and our nation. Linda Seligman, who was involved in trying to get the ERA passed and who is still concerned about current women's rights, will be the presenter. Worship Associate, Barbara Green.
March 15th - Finding Hope Is hope “the thing with feathers” Emily Dickinson wrote of; or is it as Friedrich Nietzsche said, “the worst of all evils?” Where do we find hope, in this confusing and often scary world? We will look for some answers together – though more questions are likely as well. Special guest Rev. Lori Hlaban with Rev. Patty Hanneman as Worship Associate.
