UUCH Basics begins again this month, Sundays at noon!
The UUCH Basics series is required of all our new members, but we encourage all current members and friends to refresh their knowledge of how and why we gather by attending this one, and any of the following sessions

  • February 16 – Session 2: Covenantal Relationships, featuring the Healthy Communications Team
  • February 23 – Session 3: Community Outreach, featuring Allison Mahaley
  • March 1 – Session 4: Governance and Organization, featuring Linda Seligman
  • March 8 – Session 5: Stewardship, featuring Alicia Volkheimer
  • March 15 – no session due to pledge campaign kick-off
  • March 22- Session 6: Getting Connected, featuring Rev. Patty Hanneman & Wendy Calvin

February 19 – Dinner at 6 pm, Living Room Conversations with Healthy Communications Team at 7 pm

February 20 – Faith Journeys Study Group at 7 pm

Share The Plate for February:  UU Social Justice Ministries of NC.  They are a progressive, faith-based, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that works to “give life the shape of justice”.

Other News:

The UUCH Children and Youth are making Blessing Bags for the Orange County homeless population. Our goal is to create 75 bags. Thank you all for your support of our children’s project.  We are asking for toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste and small flashlights with extra batteries.  Also quarters (for laundromat or other uses).  Every week or so we will make a specific request as we collect items to assemble into the bags. UUA General Assembly is Wed., June 24 to Sunday, June 28, in Providence, Rhode Island.
