About UUCH:

Size of Congregation: 70 adult members

Size of Religious Education Program: 20 children and youth


Job Title: Programs Administrator

Hours per week: 15 hours per week

Goal: To help each member and friends of UUCH to become fully integrated into the life of the congregation by facilitating and coordinating communication about and administration of engagement opportunities.

Statement of Accountability: The Programs Administrator is responsible to the Minister as head of staff.  In the absence of a Minister, a Transition Team, or Ministry Council representative will be responsible for supervision.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Coordinate church announcements through Facebook, UUCH Website, bi-weekly e-news, News of Orange
  • Maintain UUCH website
  • Create marketing materials for engagement opportunities, including justice ministries, classes, and small group ministries
  • Prepare orders of service for worship services and rites of passage services, and inserts as requested
  • Answer and route incoming calls to UUCH office


Productions Management

  • Coordinate distribution and use of Soul Matters materials for small group ministries, religious exploration, and worship
  • Produce weekly on-line worship services in coordination with the Worship Team
  • Attend Worship Team, Ministry Council and Committee of the Whole meetings


Membership Management

  • Publish paper and on-line membership directory annually
  • Prepare nametags as needed, and maintain supplies at Visitor’s Table
  • Update alias email accounts as needed
  • Update membership records and mailing lists in PowerChurch and UUA
  • Update PowerChurch with visitor information
  • Track enrollment for all classes, including those for adults, youth and children


Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • skilled or prepared to learn computer applications used at UUCH, including PowerChurch, the UUCH website (WordPress) and general word processing, Microsoft Office, Google drive
  • skilled or prepared to learn social media applications for congregational life (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram)
  • relational, organizational, administrative, communication, and volunteer management skills


Key considerations:


Approximately 60 hours/month

10-15 hours in meetings

5 on creating bulletins

10 on ENews and website

5 on Coordinating Classes

10 on general admin (nametags, PowerChurch, etc)

15 attending Sunday Services, creating Sunday services)
