April 26, 2022 at 7pm: District Attorney Candidates’ Assembly. Time for UUCH to show up and speak up! The May 17th primary election will include the 2 District Attorney candidates running to fill the vacancy of current DA, Jim Woodall. The DA holds one of the most powerful positions in our local government. They decide who to prosecute, the punishments to be sought, how aggressively to pursue an alleged criminal, and they even have influence on which judge hears a case!

The UUCH Justice team, alongside Justice United, would like to better understand each candidates’ position on important issues that affect our neighbors, including the undocumented, LGBTQ+, mental health, and more! We will be hosting this Candidates’ Assembly to further dig into each perspective, ask tough questions, and have uncomfortable conversations that are necessary to help vote for the ‘right’ candidate. Please join us online or in person!
