Early Room – Infancy to Kindergarten
Our Early Room serves children from infancy through kindergarten. We are using the UUA curriculum “Chalice Children” with the preschool children. Based on the premise that children learn best through experience, this program helps nurture spiritual growth, creativity and a sense of community through imaginative activities and rituals such as rhymes and fingerplays. “Chalice Children” introduces children to concepts such as birth and death, dreams and the natural world. Traci Woody is our paid caregiver in the Early Room. At this time we are relying on UUCH volunteers to assist in this program. Jenn Hancock and Melisande Timblin are among the volunteer teachers.
