Overview of Fall 2025 RE Offerings

We will start our program year off with combined elementary and middle school preparation for another performance of our beloved Sacred Story Skits.  This year we are performing three short skits from Buddhist, Ancient Greek, and Hindu religious traditions centered around the theme of Gratitude and Generosity.  Children and youth are invited to participate as actors or set painters/stage crew.  Parts are still available for newcomers who want to participate!

After the Sacred Story Skit performance on Nov. 9th, Elementary and Middle School RE will have separate curricula.  Elementary children age K-4th grade will participate in Lego building and craft activities to learn about our faith through the Lego ValUUes curriculum.  Youth ages 5th-8th grade will engage in kid-driven service projects of the group’s choosing. We are also planning a series of D&D games for youth as a monthly fellowship activity on Sunday afternoons.

UUCH offers meaningful engagement for children and youth of all ages. We offer an early room for infants and toddlers, an elementary program for older children that is based on the Tapestry of Faith Curriculum.  For Middle schoolers, we offer a rotating curriculum that includes Neighboring Faith Exploration, Our Whole Lives (OWL), and youth service projects. Our children and youth are also involved in worship activities such as chalice lighting, singing during services as the EarlyBUUrds kids singing group, and performing skits of sacred stories of different faith traditions.

If you have a young person who would like to participate in our RE programs, we need them to be registered.  All Youth under the age of 18 are required to register in order to participate in any programming. Please register here.
